Beautiful murals above today’s wedding at the historic Riddle’s Court. I love that Victorian sociologist and biologist, Patrick Geddes, who commissioned Thomas Bonner to paint these murals in 1897, is quoted for saying “by leaves we live”. A beautiful testimony in deference to our utter reliance on the natural world🌿

These woods have a special place in my heart as I’ve walked them for over twenty years. Today, a wonderful couple exchanged vows in this beautiful, peaceful place between earth and sky, and by trees and water.

First guest at today’s wedding … this sweet peacock butterfly found it’s way into the Biscuit Factory just in time to bless Kate and Andrew’s ceremony 🦋

I am proud to be a founder member of Agnostic Scotland, a not-for-profit organisation established by a group of Independent Celebrants who believe that families should be able to decide how and where they choose to mark the momentous occasions in their lives, however big or small, religious or secular, traditional or unconventional.
