I am a Celebrant offering authentic ceremonies to help you honour and celebrate the important milestones in your life. I love co-creating meaningful ceremony and am always excited when couples and families contact me looking for something unique and personal.
There’s magic in the planning of a ceremony, in taking time to explore, to wonder, and to reflect on all that you wish to say, who you would like to involve, and the symbolism and ritual you hope to include.
Onie is such a special celebrant, full of enthusiasm, ideas and openness to the needs and suggestions of the couples and families she supports.Kelsey and Cameron
I believe in creating ceremonies that are centred around the wishes and values of the family involved. This enables you to create a unique, meaningful ceremony with your story at the heart, one that reflects your own beliefs, whether that incorporates religious and spiritual beliefs or entirely non-religious/secular ethos.
It was a ceremony that was open to all beliefs and gave space for everyone to feel part of our ceremony in their own way. We had guests that were Jewish, Atheist, Catholic, and Protestant and they all felt welcome.Emily and Steven
An Agnostic Scotland ceremony is inclusive and open-minded. All love is celebrated.
Onie is a beautiful writer and her ceremonies are so authentic, personal and warm. At every stage, we knew she was working with us to make the day what we wanted it to be with no judgement whatsoever.Emily and Jo
Ceremonies can be funny-sweet, deeply meaningful, make-you-weep-while-you-laugh hilarious, heart-achingly poignant, timeless and grand, sincere and serious, gentle and thoughtful. They can be traditional, unconventional, grand, or intimate. They can take place on hilltops or beaches, at hotels or castles, or in your own home. Every element of your ceremony is your choice.
I really invest in the families I work with and take the time to get to you know you. My wish is always to create a ceremony for you that will make your heart sing.
So many people commented that it was the best ceremony they have been to and how beautiful, unique and personal it was. A lot of people thought Onie was a friend of the family as she spoke with such familiarity.Jane and David
Whilst I am based near Gairloch in the Scottish Highlands, I love to travel and am happy to offer ceremonies further afield. In particular, I am often in the Highlands, Skye, the Lothians, Perthshire, and Glasgow areas.
