“The thing about chaos, is that while it disturbs us, it too forces our hearts to roar, in a way we secretly find magnificent.”
This sweet quote by American poet, Christopher Pointdexter, I feel perfectly sums up the chaos of early years parenting. A crazy-happy, love-filled existence with (certainly in our family) more than a smattering of chaos. And the gorgeous trio of girls who were at the heart of last Saturday’s Family Celebration and Naming Ceremony are most definitely roaringly magnificent.
It was a real treat to be invited to lead the joyful celebration of the wonderful Neale-Cooke’s and their tremendous Theadora, amazing Agnes and fantastic Florence. The sun shone, Thea and Aggie outshone themselves with two beautiful readings about being sisters, and all three girls enjoyed the sprinkling of magic bestowed on them by their Fairy Godparents (or if you prefer, Fairly Odd Parents, or even Fairly Godless Parents…). Not to mention the post-ceremony magician who kept the girls and their friends entranced for the reception.
Wishing the entire Cook-Neale family all the best for a joyful and exciting future. In the words of your very aptly chosen Dr. Seuss reading, “You’re off to great places. You’re off and away!” I so look forward to hearing how your adventures unfold. Heartfelt thanks for inviting me to be a part of your important day.
